- Going Digital: Sustainable development in agriculture for women (Lab Debate) This Tuesday, June 5, 18:00 to 19:15
Supporting women’s access to ICTs for agriculture and promoting participation
The need to embrace digital innovations and the opportunities they offer is real. Agriculture is not immune to these changes as they have the ability to transform every link in the agriculture value chain. However, despite the advancements in digitalisation, the gender gaps in access to ICTs continue to widen. Women are 14% less likely than men to own a mobile phone and 25 % fewer women and girls use the internet.

Starting on the 23rd of May 2018, African start-ups will be able to submit projects in three categories: off-grid power generation, electricity uses & services and access to water through electrical power (farming and drinking water).
