The European Union is currently working on some of the major projects in the country which will benefit communities most vulnerable to climate change. Head of Corporation at the EU Delegation Christoph Wagner says they are working on projects to empower effective climate change decision-making in the Pacific, which will enhance resilience.

There is more than enough food produced in the world to feed everyone, yet 815 million people still go hungry every day. Moreover, global population is projected to rise to around 10 billion by 2050. In order to fight hunger and feed an extra two billion people in 2050, food production will need to increase by 50 percent.

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has underscored the need for enhanced trade and investment between Ghana and the European Union (EU) in a veritable spirit of partnership.

Representatives of the political party Compromís and of Valencian agricultural organizations met last Thursday at the headquarters of the former in order to discuss the problems that the citrus sector is facing, and have demanded the end of the agreement between the European Union and South Africa.

European Parliament president, Antonio Tajani, called on Wednesday for stronger cooperation between Africa and Europe by organising yearly EU-Africa summits instead of now meeting only every three years.
