Today (12/11/2018), the European Union (EU) and Kenya held a dialogue session on the EU-Kenya partnership. This dialogue reviews all aspects of the EU-Kenya bilateral relations and reflects our long-standing relationship, which is based on a common set of values and principles. Today's meeting gives new impetus to and cements the unique relationship between the European Union, EU Member States and Kenya.

Amid recent alarming reports of the dramatic loss of wildlife and ecosystems worldwide, the European Union is calling for stronger global response to biodiversity concerns at the United Nations Biodiversity Conference 2018. At the 14th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Convention on Biodiversity in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, the EU will be leading the international efforts for a post-2020 global biodiversity framework.

The African, Caribbean Pacific Secretariat, in collaboration with the European Commission, hosted the Fall Meeting of the Consultative Group (CG) of the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), in Brussels during the 7th-9th November, 2018.
