The CTA and its partners will held the second regional Briefing in the Caribbean on “Strengthening the Caribbean agri-food private sector: challenges for SMEs in the agri-food sector in the Caribbean”on 18-19th October at the occasion of the Caribbean Agricultural Week.

Our video guest this week is  Ms. Meghan Sapp, she is the secretary general of PANGEA, a Brussels based organization specialized in renewable energies issues in EU-ACP relations. During her visit at the CTA Brussels’ office, Ms. Sapp accorded to us an interview, where she explains highly debated issues such as food security vs. biofuels  and environmental goals vs. development goals.

Real time maps of air, ground and water pollution can now be made available to everyone thanks to an EU-funded research project called INTAMAP. The INTAMAP project has developed open specifications software to draw up contour maps that not only show the exact location of polluted areas but also illustrate where pollution is coming from and where it is headed.
