In 2019, the Angolan agricultural sector across 7 provinces will be stimulated by a French investment of €200 million, Macauhub reports. The financial package will be managed by the French Development Agency (AFD) and will focus on financing family farming projects and the promotion of the agricultural industry, stated Sylvain Itté, French ambassador to Angola. The ambassador was visiting the Kwanza-Nord province when he made the statement, and also indicated that a trained team of French technicians would visit the country the following week in order to evaluate the criteria for launching projects and identifying which regions would be beneficiaries.
