On 15 November, the EU and Guinea Bissau signed a new Sustainable Fishing Partnership Agreement (SFPA) protocol, a year after the previous protocol expired. This new fisheries protocol will allow the EU fleet to fish in Guinea Bissau waters for a duration of 5 years.

The Honorable Joseph Malanji, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Zambia, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Patrick Gomes, Secretary-General of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP), on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Secretary-General Gomes and the Honorable Malanji reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthen relations between the Republic of Zambia and the ACP Group of States.

It is estimated that at least 660 million Africans (against 336 million in 2016) will be equipped with a smartphone by 2020[1].

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are critical for national progress because they accelerate economic growth and jobs creation, Mr Ron Strikker, the Dutch Ambassador to Ghana, has said. He reaffirmed the Royal Kingdom of The Netherlands’ commitment to supporting entrepreneurship as a key driver of growth and socioeconomic development in Ghana.

The number of tourists visiting the country from the European Union (EU) has increased by 29 percent, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has revealed. According to the ZTA chief executive Karikoga Kaseke, the positive swing is indicative of the potential for recovering lost ground in what was previously a key source market for Zimbabwe.

Jamaica’s minister of foreign affairs and foreign trade, Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith, says the technical work for the rollover of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) into a new CARIFORUM-United Kingdom trade arrangement post-Brexit is close to being finalised.

Namibia's Presidential Advisor for Private Sector Interface and Constitutional Affairs in the Office of the President, Inge Zaamwani-Kamwi, said Thursday that Namibia is at an advanced stage of finalising the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) implementation plan and has begun implementing the plan's crucial aspects.

The Federal Government, yesterday, expressed its commitment to increasing trade volumes with the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, gave the assurance in Abuja while speaking during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Stef Blok.
