The CTA in collaboration with the UN will be organising a special High-Level Panel on ‘Enhancing resilience for food and nutrition security in small-island economies’ on 15 May 2014, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This event is taking place in the context of the IFPRI 2020 Vision Initiative international conference on “Building Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security” (May 15-17, 2014, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) and as part of the CTA's strategic support to small island economies.

EUCARINET is looking for researchers interested in enlarging their S&T contacts with European researchers and Caribbean Ones. They would like to invite them to be present in a final publication that EUCARINET will produce by the Mid June 2014. For participating, the researchers are asked to include their Research profile in EUCARINET database, by Mid May 2014.

COLEACP and the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) are launching the Self-Assessment Guide for the Cocoa Sector in Ghana. This guide is the first step in establishing a self-assessment system involving each stage of the Ghanaian cocoa value chain. Development of the guide started in May 2012 with the support of the EDES programme, funded by the European Union, and was coordinated by COCOBOD’s Quality Control Company through a stakeholder steering committee and working group.
