In the frame of the “Support Programme For The Consolidation Of the Action Framework Under The EU- Africa Partnership On Cotton”, financed by the European Commission (joint programme with DEVCO (E/3 Intra-ACP – ACP Secretariat, 10th EDF, Decision FED/2011/22702), the technical and administrative assistance to the ACP Secretariat, the contracting authority of the Programme, is carried out by the Programme Management Unit (PMU). The call for proposals n°135-548, “Improving the competitiveness and sustainability of the African Cotton Sectors” has just been published on the EuropeAid website.

President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, pursued on April 3, communications in Berlin with German politicians and investors. Accompanied by the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Amadou Ba, Minister for Energy, Maimouna Ndoye Seck, director general of APIX, Mountaga Sy, the head of state was faced with 80 German investors during a meeting organized by Afrikaverein association  at the Kfw headquarters.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP) revealed the results of their joint work to develop targets and indicators for a new global development paradigm for sustainable agriculture, food security and nutrition. This is a critical contribution to the ongoing intergovernmental discussions on the post-2015 development agenda which will follow the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
