The next Brussels Development Briefing on ‘Realising the Promise of Agriculture for Africa’s Transformation’, will be held during the morning of Friday 4 April 2014, at the Egmont Palace in Brussels. This 36th Briefing is timed to coincide with the 4th Africa-EU Summit, and the panel is being organised by the ACP-EU Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), in collaboration with the European Commission and the AU Commission.

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the Commission, signed today in the European Parliament the European Consensus on Development, in the presence of the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz.

Namibian Prime Minister Dr Hage Geingob has warned that Windhoek needs to tread carefully when dealing with the European Union (EU) on the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs).
Speaking in Brussels, Belgium, on Monday during a briefing session with members of his delegation drawn from various government ministries and agencies, as well as from the business sector, Geingob said the negotiations are at a critical stage, which warrants careful consideration.
