We met Dr. Clive Ondari, Coordinator of Access to Medicines, Department of Essential Medicines and Health Products, World Health Organization to discuss the efforts that the EU and the WHO make in order to fight Malaria in Africa, and the specificities of the "Working with African countries to ensure a pharmaceutical quality response to malaria" project.

The EU has engaged to offer €41 million over four years to fund  programmes in Bangladesh, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic  and the Philippines, as well as Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mali and Uganda, UNICEF announced on Thursday December 6.

Caribbean governments expressed their dissatisfaction with the European Union rules currently under European Parliament debate regarding aid granted to the region and to former colonies in the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP).

Tanzania will receive a grant of 71,62 million Euros for improving the water sector in five different regions, as part of an agreement the country has with the EU and Germany.
