“Impact investing” by the EIB in ACP countries

The “Programme for Change” developed by the European Commission defines the new EU strategy to reduce poverty and strengthen the impact of its development policy. It will be essential to draw on the vast potential of the private sector to make real progress along this road. Over the last ten years, almost two-thirds of the loans by the EIB in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP countries) went to the private sector.
