Looking beyond agriculture to help create resilient smallholder farms

The 29th Brussels Development Briefing on 'Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security' was successfully held on 27 September. In collaboration with the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), CTA organised this Briefing, in order to discuss the key issues related to agriculture and food security in a changing climate and the ways in which climate-smart agriculture (CSA) can increase resilience to the effects of climate change.
In a blog post written on the Briefing, CCAFS states that there was a general consensus among all panelists that institutions and policies are among the major obstacles in developing countries for rolling out and upscaling CSA practices.
