Antigua & Barbuda and Martinique ink cooperation agreement

After several weeks spent negotiating the “Declaration of Intention of Cooperation”, Antigua & Barbuda Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer signs a bilateral cooperation agreement with Martinique, less than a year after reaching a deal with Guadeloupe, another French Overseas Territory.
According to Caribbean 360, Prime Minister Spencer and the President of the Regional Council of Martinique Serge Letchimy, sign the agreement following meetings with Ambassador of France to the OECS Member States Michel Prom and a representative of the French Development Agency.
The agreement relates to the coordination of projects and activities that would facilitate closer ties within the Programme INTERREG IV “Caribbean” and the 10th European Development Fund Caribbean Regional Indicative programme.
