Regulations to avoid disturbances on the market

A regulation suspending the autonomous common customs tariff duties on certain agricultural, fishery and industrial products was adopted at the 3139th Council meeting on Environment, held last December 2011. Additionally, the Council adopted a regulation opening autonomous EU tariff quotas for certain agricultural and industrial products.
The objective of the two regulations is to ensure sufficient and uninterrupted supplies of certain goods insufficiently produced in the EU and to avoid any disturbances on the market for certain agricultural and industrial products.
