WTO: 13 ACP countries allowed to maintain export subsidies

The WTO’s Committee on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures allowed 13 ACP countries to maintain their export subsidies programmes until the end of 2012. The beneficiary countries are Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Grenada, Jamaica, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. WTO accessing requires a phasing out of export subsidy programmes vis-à-vis WTO member countries.
