The road to Busan and beyond

The outcome document that will frame discussions at the fourth High Level Forum (HLF) on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, South Korea later this year is already drafted.  Its contents are the product of much debate and jet-setting by the co-chairs of the Working Party on Aid Effectiveness (WP-EFF) and their team of DAC technicians. Over the coming weeks researchers at ODI will be writing about the ‘road to Busan and beyond’, reflecting, amongst other things, on: some of the known knowns –  in particular the unfinished agenda from Paris and the specific needs of aid dependent countries such as the G7+; some of the new dimensions to the effectiveness debate, in particular the increasing role of non-aid development finance; and, finally, what next for the effectiveness agenda once the jamboree in Busan is over.
