Structured Dialogue - For an efficient partnership in development

The Structured Dialogue aims at increasing the effectiveness of all stakeholders involved in EC development cooperation, by building on the momentum gained by international and European debates. The official launch of the initiative took place on the 23rd of March in Brussels.

The Structured Dialogue is an initiative with which the European Commission (EC) wishes to respond to the conclusion of several reports ( evaluations through the civil society organizations, Court of Auditors report), to the request of civil society organizations, local authorities and the European Parliament, in the frame of the Accra agenda for action  , by:
• Reaching a mutual understanding and building consensus on the main challenges related to civil society organizations and local authorities involved in cooperation.
• Finding ways to improve the effectiveness of civil society organizations and local authorities involved in cooperation, to advance and strengthen partnerships and exploring ways to adapt EC modalities accordingly.
