London accelerates investment in telecoms & technology in Africa

The finest of African Fintech will be at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London on September 19th... and for good reason! Enormous fundraising and investment opportunities will be there to be seized, as illustrated by the recent conclusions of a report by the African banking group Ecobank: “Financial transactions via mobile phones and the Internet should rise from US$200 million in 2020 to US$3 billion by 2020,” the report said. “Close to US$100m of fundraising has been injected already in 2018 into Africa’s bourgeoning fintech and mobile payments sector, with a significant amount of capital still to be deployed this year,” said TMT Finance in a press release. “Demand for services is also expected to rise sharply in the coming years on the African continent, a favourable situation that does not leave European investors indifferent,” reports the news provider, which specialises in mergers, acquisitions, investment and consulting in telecommunications on a global scale. For its 9th annual forum, TMT Finance Africa will host roundtables in London that will focus on capital investment in the fast growing fintech and payment sectors in Africa.
