Cameroon: EU to provide 45 billion CFAF for Agricultural Investment

Agriculture: The EU is going to provide 45 billion CFA F to the Agricultural Investment Programme. The announcement was made on Tuesday in Yaoundé during an audience granted by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to the Head of the European Union Delegation to Cameroon. Françoise Collet, Head of the European Union Delegation to Cameroon, was received on Tuesday 12 January 2016 by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Henry Eyebe Ayissi. The main item on the agenda was the funding of agricultural projects in Cameroon. Françoise Collet took this opportunity to announce that the European Union will support the Agricultural Investment Programme with funds of 45 billion CFA F. "We are delighted to be, for the moment, the only partner of the National Plan for Agricultural Investment, within the framework of a new programme worth 70 million Euros, which will be dedicated principally to the northern and eastern regions and which will be followed by a programme for the Nkam region", Françoise Collet told Cameroon's national radio station CRTV as she left the audience.
