New member states call for fairer CAP

A group of former Soviet Bloc countires have called on the European Commission to act without discrimination towards new member states in its upcoming review of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). In a joint declaration, agriculture ministers from the Visegrad Four countries (The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), together with Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia, called on the European Commission to implement the upcoming reform of the CAP fairly, and without discrimination towards new member states.
