Some 250 leaders, decision-makers and agrifood actors gathered for the first Caribbean and Pacific Agrifood Forum.

Within this context, the 2nd Caribbean Agribusiness Forum took place on 5-6 November. It is linked to the Brussels Briefings organised by CTA, the European Commission, the ACP Group and Concord on key issues related to ARD in ACP countries. In addition to experiences from the Caribbean, experts from the Pacific and Indian Ocean  will participate through the Intra ACP Agricultural Policy Programme. The Forum was organised by CTA, IICA, CABA in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Water Resource Management and Barbados Tourism Product Authority (BTPA) and was held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC), St Michael, Barbados.

As part of CTA’s work on promoting regional trade through agribusiness development, various activities have been carried out in support of Small Isand Developing States (SIDS).

During this Agribusiness Forum, CTA signed a Memoranda of Understanding with the Caribbean Research and Development Institute (CARDI) and the Inter-American Institute of Cooperation on Agriculture (ICCA). See the press relase here.
