Sweden-Mozambique 2015-2019 financial support

The government of Sweden has announced that it will pledge €448 million over five years to support the development of Mozambique. The financial package will provide funding for anti-poverty initiatives, consolidating peace and stability in the country, among other actions included to support the five-year programme of the Mozambican government for 2015 to 2019. The Framework Agreement (Acordo Quadro) is an instrument which also serves as a platform for other agreements to be signed between the two countries within the five-year period. Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation, Isabel Lovin said, “Mozambique is one of the main partners of Sweden, our strong ties give us the opportunity to share and develop a dialogue on issues important to both countries.”
