South Africa exporters avoid EU over CBS

The South African citrus season has started an according to one citrus import, the outstanding CBS problem is a political one, since  not a single tree in Europe has been affected in the last century. Nonetheless, Spanish lobbies have been strong in their resistance to South African citrus imports based on the CBS argument. It is predicted that South African exporters will send as much citrus as possible to other markets, such as Asia, Canada and Russia. Europe still remains an important export destination but the continued insistence on CBS and the risk of a find, means that exporters are looking to other markets.
