Angola’s flagship airline resumes regular flights to Kinshasa

On 23 April, Angola’s flagship airline, Taag, will resume regular flights to Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The company ceased to offer flights to Kinshasa for almost five years as a result of the expulsion of Angolan citizens by the authorities of DR Congo. The resumption of air links was agreed on 19 January, during a visit to Kinshasa by the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, where he was received by his Congolese counterpart Joseph Kabila. This may lead to increased commercial relations between the two countries.
