SYMPOSIUM - AFTER BREXIT: SECURING ACP ECONOMIC INTERESTS

Picture

Brexit will doubtlessly have far reaching implications for the UK and for the rest of the world, in particular the ACP group of countries whose trade and economic relations with the UK and Europe have been intricately linked for the last 40 years. The UK’s trade with ACP countries is quite substantial, with exports at US$8.3 billion in 2015 and imports totalling US$12.3 billion. Now as the UK begins its preparations for withdrawal from the EU, the symposium will explore Brexit's implications for those important trading relationships and what options might be available to the UK and to ACP countries. The latest Ramphal Institute publication, After Brexit: Securing ACP Economic Interests will be launched at the event.
